Brittain has been on his mission for almost 6 months. I had the chance to give a spotlight on him at church today. There are so many funny and wonderful things he has taught us already, but I kept it to a few ideas; • #Lockyourheart
President Bennett at the Mexico City MTC taught that “when an hermana smiles at you she is not in love with you, I promise. Don't get your heart in a race because you've never had a girl smile at you before." random elder in the audience "dang it!" Avoid being distracted from the lords work and to lock your hearts while you're on your mission meaning you put a 2 year pause on relationships •Look for the best
Search for the best in people, and life will be easy and you will be blessed.
I can testify that once I started doing that life became so easy. I put my faith in the lord and he put blessings in my life. I have all 5 grandparents alive. My relationships with my brothers became better than ever, especially with my wingman T. My love for my parents grew exponentially as I began to see how much they sacrificed for me and my well being despite me never deserving it. •10/10
There have been some missionary shenanigans in the mission; some things are little like wearing a “make Christmas Great Again” sweater, and others stretch the rules a lot.
Some of these missionaries think they are enfuego but were 4/10 hot and 3/10 consecrated Missionaries.
It is important to be 10 in keeping Mission rules.
I am not perfect. I am far from it. I did a lot of stuff and naughtiness, but after fixing things I'm here. I am here striving and struggling and everything in between.
Best part about a mission is that it takes someone who has used the atonement in their lives and has a testimony about it through experience. They then share that testimony with others to bring them to that same joy and peace and shelter from the storm that they have felt. It's beautiful. #Halestorm #missouriindependencemission #seeyouintwoyears
